The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

EPIC's 10th Anniversary Season | ART/NY Mezzanine Theatre | Nov 19–Dec 6, 2026

Based on the novel by Mark Haddon and adapted for the stage by Simon Stephens, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time follows Christopher, a 15-year-old boy whose investigation into the mysterious death of a neighbor’s dog leads him on an unexpected journey that challenges what he knows about his family, his community and himself.

For EPIC Players, the production offers an opportunity for Neurodivergent and Disabled artists to take ownership of a story centered on a neurodivergent young person. Staged with the audience seated on all four sides of Christopher’s world, EPIC’s production places its artists and their perspectives at the center of the storytelling.

This production features immersive sound design, media and projections, scent-scapes and dynmaic lighting. Sensory friendly seating is available to calibrate each audience members experience with the show.
